She provides a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space for clients ranging from adolescents to older adults. She has experience working in community mental health, suicide prevention, domestic violence, home health, and hospice.
Her areas of interest include anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, spiritual and religious challenges, and interpersonal difficulties. She believes every client is unique and to best support her clients’ needs she incorporates techniques from various therapeutic approaches, such as CBT, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness-Based Interventions, Psychodynamic Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Strengths-Based Therapy.
As a Catholic woman, faith is an important part of Sylwia’s identity, and she understands how personal beliefs and values shape our identity and well-being. Religion can influence mental health in positive and negative ways, and she hopes to help clients navigate any challenges openly and without judgment. She values diversity and welcomes clients of all religious backgrounds, cultures, sexual orientations, gender identities, and those questioning their faith.
Outside of work, Sylwia likes hanging out with friends and family, hiking, traveling, enjoying music, dancing, reading, and spending time with her dog, Dexter.
